The Report!

Thank you so much for your prayers over camp! The Lord was faithful to show up, just like we asked. The speaker did a good job and the worship band did an INCREDIBLE job of leading our students to the throne! Our students engaged and raved about the speaker’s relevance to their lives and their ease in understanding him. MANY MANY MANY decisions were made throughout the week. Some salvations, many rededications, many making decisions about obedience in baptism, and several responding to a call to ministry of some sort.

The Lord was so good. He is so faithful.

I also have good news about some sweet students who have been in Zambia for the past few weeks – some longer than others. Nevertheless, they have been sending wonderful reports home about the great things the Lord has done! They have been telling a marvelous story about His work, especially in seeing a man healed right before their eyes! The Lord is at work in the lives of our students. I couldn’t be more thrilled. We are seeing Him work on this continent and others! Praise Him!

Ways you can pray:

::for students to follow through on their camp decisions and to be diligent in continuing to seek the Lord’s face.

::school starts within the next 2 weeks. Obviously, this is their biggest mission field. Pray for their faithfulness to share the Gospel – both in word and deed.

Thanks again for joining me in this journey! I am blessed by you!

The Birmingham Beginnings

Well friends… this is the beginning of my blog! In an attempt to keep people abreast as to what’s happening in my new Birmingham life, I have created this riveting website to keep you interested and excited!

For those of you who might not know, I graduated from Union University in May and moved to Birmingham to work in a church with high school girls. I am apart of a wonderful staff and church family. This is not at all where I thought I’d be, but the Lord is very good at surprising me! It has been a marvelous adventure so far! I love the girls, their families, the people I work with, my apartment, Birmingham, and everything else that comes with it! The Lord has been very gracious to affirm my being here over and over again over the past month and a half. We serve a very good God!

I would love to use this blog as a means to update you on how you can be praying. Student Ministry can be such an important thing.. I know it was in my life – Thank you, Nate and Kari! Every time I travel, I send out newsletters or email updates, and this is just as prayer worthy! I want to be faithful to the Gospel, to the Lord and to the Word in my ministry to these girls. I walked into a wonderful and healthy situation and am surrounded by people – students, parents and staff – who are more passionate than I am. It’s an encouraging environment and my church family here has been so welcoming and loving! There are plenty of people here to take care of me and love on me!

Things you can be praying for this week… We are headed to Camp on Monday morning. We are taking 281 students! I’m so excited to spend all week with them and continue to learn more about them. We’re headed to an adventure camp in East Tennessee! The week will be filled with lots of fun, but also serious time in the Word and in musical worship. I’m really looking forward to it! Please be praying for the Lord’s presence to be heavy. Pray for the students to fully surrender… and for lives to be changed!

Thank you for partnering with me in this journey. I cant wait to tell you about the great things God does!
